Leadership is too often identified with the ego, with becoming someone who holds power, authority, control over others, with being a winner rather than a loser, models of leadership are often military men, leading to the impression that all leaders are at their best when they are “victorious” in battle.
And perhaps most important, leadership is never identified with bliss, that state of being in which you are enjoying “refreshment, that life within you.” As Joseph Campbell put it.
In future blogs, we will be aligning the crucial connections between leadership and bliss.
We have arrived at these connections as a result of our own backgrounds and experiences. Debbie Covino is a master clinical hypnotherapist and life coach, and Bill Covino-Debbie’s life partner- is a longtime university professor and administrator, and currently university president.
